SUNO Global Logistics ("SUNO", "we", "us") is based in Montreal, QC, Canada. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This policy covers this website (sunointl.com). It does not cover the handling of shipments or the personal information exchanged when we provide logistics services, which is governed by our service agreements.

What we collect

When you use the quote form. We collect the information you enter: your name, email address and message, and optionally your company, phone number, the service you are interested in, and the origin and destination of your shipment. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.

When you contact us directly. If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share.

When you visit the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media tracking on this website, and the site does not load content from third-party services such as font or video providers.

How we use it

We use the information you send us only to:

• respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
• communicate with you about the services you asked about;
• keep records of our business communications;
• protect the website and the quote form against spam and abuse.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Service providers and transfers outside Quebec

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate this website. They process information on our behalf and only for these purposes:

• Twilio SendGrid (United States) delivers quote form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Our web hosting provider stores the website and its server logs.
• Our email provider stores the messages we receive.

Some of these providers store information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. Before sharing information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, and we require our providers to protect it.

Spam protection

To prevent abuse, the quote form keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, which cannot be read back, together with the time of your request, for about 10 minutes. The form also uses a hidden field, checks how soon after loading the page it was sent, and screens messages for links and typical spam, to detect automated submissions. Submissions blocked this way are not kept; we only record the reason, without your details.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and related emails for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain our business records, and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited time set by our hosting provider.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to the messages we receive is limited to the people who need it to respond to you, and our providers are required to protect the information they handle for us.

Your rights

You may ask to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• have it deleted, or withdraw your consent to its use, subject to legal or contractual requirements;
• know how it is used and who it is shared with.

To make a request, contact our privacy officer (below). We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
